رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لإعلام الأقليات وحقوق الإنسان يحضر احتفالية بغداد عاصمة السياحة العربية 2025.
شارك السيد محمود المنديل رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لإعلام الأقليات وحقوق الإنسان، ، في المؤتمر الاحتفالي الذي أقامته وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي بمناسبة اختيار بغداد عاصمةً للسياحة العربية لعام 2025، وذلك بالتعاون مع اللجنة الوطنية الدائمة للتوعية والإرشاد المجتمعي في مكتب رئيس مجلس الوزراء، وبرعاية وزير التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي الدكتور نعيم العبودي.
شهدت الاحتفالية حضورًا رسميًا وثقافيًا واسعًا، تخللته كلمات لعدد من الشخصيات البارزة، من بينها وكيل وزارة التعليم العالي الدكتور عدنان إبراهيم الجميلي، الذي أكد في كلمته التزام الوزارة بدعم الشراكات المؤسسية التي تسهم في جعل بغداد وجهة أكاديمية وثقافية وسياحية، مشيرًا إلى دور المؤسسات الأكاديمية والثقافية في تعزيز خطط التنمية المستدامة ضمن رؤية 2030 والانفتاح على الشراكات العالمية.
وقد كان حضور السيد محمود المنديل لافتًا ومعبّرًا عن التزام الاتحاد بدعم التعددية الثقافية والحفاظ على التراث الإنساني. وأكد في تصريحاته أن الإعلام مسؤولية مشتركة في إبراز هوية بغداد الحضارية وتعزيز مكانتها كمدينة للتنوع والانفتاح والحوار، مشددًا على استعداد الاتحاد للتعاون مع كافة الجهات من أجل ترسيخ هذا التوجه الإنساني والثقافي.
تضمنت فعاليات الاحتفالية عروضًا موسيقية وفنية تجسّد أصالة التراث العراقي، إلى جانب معارض للمخطوطات والآثار التي تحكي التاريخ العريق لمدينة بغداد، فضلًا عن جلسات حوارية ناقشت مستقبل السياحة في العاصمة العراقية وأهمية حماية المواقع التراثية وتطوير البنية السياحية.
ويأتي اختيار بغداد عاصمة للسياحة العربية لعام 2025 تأكيدًا لمكانتها التاريخية والثقافية، واعترافًا بدورها المحوري في الحضارة الإسلامية والعلم والفنون، كما يعكس هذا التكريم الجهود المستمرة لإحياء قطاع السياحة في العراق وتعزيز موقع بغداد على الخارطة السياحية العربية والدولية.
President of the International Union for Minority Media and Human Rights Attends Baghdad’s Celebration as the Arab Tourism Capital 2025
The President of the International Union for Minority Media and Human Rights, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Mandeel, participated in the official conference organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on the occasion of Baghdad being named the Arab Tourism Capital for the year 2025. The event was held in cooperation with the National Committee for Community Awareness and Guidance at the Office of the Prime Minister, and under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi.
The celebration witnessed the presence of prominent cultural, political, and academic figures. In his speech, Deputy Minister Dr. Adnan Ibrahim Al-Jameeli emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to fostering institutional partnerships that position Baghdad as a leading academic, cultural, and tourism destination. He also highlighted the role of academic and cultural institutions in advancing development plans within the framework of Vision 2030 and expanding global collaborations.
Mr. Mahmoud Al-Mandeel’s presence underscored the Union’s dedication to supporting cultural diversity and preserving human heritage. In his remarks, he affirmed that media plays a vital role in showcasing Baghdad’s civilizational identity and promoting its image as a city of diversity, openness, and dialogue. He reiterated the Union’s readiness to collaborate with all relevant stakeholders in advancing this cultural and humanitarian vision.
The event featured a range of artistic and musical performances reflecting Iraq’s authentic heritage, along with exhibitions of manuscripts and artifacts that narrate the deep-rooted history of Baghdad. The program also included dialogue sessions focused on the future of tourism in the capital and the importance of preserving heritage sites and improving tourism infrastructure.
Baghdad’s selection as the Arab Tourism Capital for 2025 serves as a testament to its historical and cultural significance, and its central role in Islamic civilization, knowledge, and the arts. This honor also reflects ongoing efforts to revive Iraq’s tourism sector and strengthen Baghdad’s presence on both the Arab and international tourism map.
