الاتحاد الدولي لإعلام الأقليات وحقوق الإنسان يلتقي رئيس وأعضاء مجلس محافظة كركوك

في إطار جهوده المستمرة لتعزيز التنوع الثقافي وحماية حقوق الأقليات، أجرى وفد الاتحاد الدولي لإعلام الأقليات وحقوق الإنسان، برئاسة السيد محمود المنديل، زيارة رسمية إلى مجلس محافظة كركوك، حيث التقى رئيس المجلس الاستاذ محمد الحافظ  والأستاذ صفاء المجرن معاون محافظ  والسيدة إنجيل زيا  الأمين  العام لمجلس المحافظة   في ديوان المحافظة.

وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث سبل التعاون المشترك لتعزيز الإرث الحضاري والثقافي والديني لمحافظة كركوك، بما يعكس طبيعتها الفريدة وتعدد مكوناتها. وشدد الطرفان على أهمية تسليط الضوء على التنوع الثقافي والمجتمعي في المحافظة، ودعم المبادرات الثقافية التي تحفظ الهوية المتعددة لكركوك وتعزز التفاهم والتعايش السلمي بين جميع مكوناتها.

من جانبه، أعرب السيد  رئيس مجلس محافظة كركوك عن التزامه بدعم المشاريع التي تعزز السلم المجتمعي، مشيدًا بالدور الفاعل الذي يقوم به الاتحاد في مجال حقوق الإنسان وتسليط الضوء على قضايا الأقليات.

كما أكد معاون المحافظ، السيد صفاء المجرن، أهمية التنسيق والتواصل مع المنظمات الفاعلة، مثمنًا الجهود التي يبذلها الاتحاد في مجال التوعية المجتمعية، ومعلنًا دعمه الكامل لأي مبادرة تعزز التعاون المشترك.

وفي كلمة لها، أثنت السيدة إنجيل زيا، الأمين العام لمجلس محافظة كركوك، على جهود الاتحاد في تناول قضايا الأقليات والتركيز على البعد الثقافي والتنوع الغني الذي تمتاز به المحافظة.

وتأتي هذه الزيارة ضمن سلسلة لقاءات يجريها الاتحاد مع المؤسسات الحكومية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني بهدف تفعيل السياسة الإعلامية الخاصة بالأقليات، والتي صوّت عليها مجلس الوزراء العراقي، وتعد كركوك أول محافظة يُشرع فيها الاتحاد  بتنفيذ  السياسة الإعلامية للاقليات. 

The International Union for Minority Media and Human Rights Meets with the President and Members of the Kirkuk Provincial Council

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote cultural diversity and protect minority rights, a delegation from the International Union for Minority Media and Human Rights, led by President Mr. Mahmoud Al-Mandeel, conducted an official visit to the Kirkuk Provincial Council. The delegation was received by Mr. Mohammed Al-Hafez, President of the Council, along with several council members at the Governorate Headquarters.

The discussions focused on enhancing Kirkuk’s rich cultural, historical, and religious heritage, emphasizing the importance of highlighting the province's diverse social fabric. Both parties stressed the need to support cultural initiatives that reflect Kirkuk’s pluralistic identity and strengthen mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence among its various communities.

Mr. Al-Hafez reaffirmed the Council's commitment to supporting projects that promote social harmony, praising the Union’s active role in advocating for minority rights and highlighting their concerns through media.

Kirkuk Deputy Governor, Mr. Safaa Al-Makran, also emphasized the importance of engaging with effective civil society organizations, noting their vital role in raising public awareness and education. He expressed full support for the Union’s initiatives and cooperation efforts.

In her remarks, Ms. Angel Zia, Secretary-General of the Kirkuk Provincial Council, acknowledged the Union’s significant role in addressing minority issues and shedding light on the cultural diversity and richness of Kirkuk.

This visit is part of a broader series of meetings conducted by the Union to foster dialogue between governmental institutions and civil society organizations. The initiative aims to activate the national media policy for minorities, approved by the Iraqi Council of Ministers. Notably, Kirkuk is the first province where this policy is being implemented.
