President of the International Union for Minority Media and Human Rights Attends Symposium on the Mandaic Language and Its Roots

Under the guidance of His Excellency Dr. Rami Joseph Agajan, the Endowment Office for Christian, Yazidi, and Mandaean Religions organized a scientific symposium at the House of Wisdom titled:
In his opening address, His Excellency emphasized the Office’s pivotal role in promoting a culture of diversity and reinforcing linguistic pluralism in Iraq. He stressed the importance of adopting Iraq’s original languages and making them accessible to all components of Iraqi society, thereby strengthening social cohesion and preserving the nation’s civilizational heritage. This initiative reflects the Office’s commitment to advancing the values of diversity and pluralism.
The symposium witnessed notable attendance, including the Head of the Mandaean Sect, Rishama Sattar Jabar Helo; the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the House of Wisdom, Dr. Qahtan Al-Hafaji; as well as several government officials, members of the Iraqi Parliament, general directors, religious leaders from various Iraqi communities, and staff of the Endowment Office. Their presence added significant momentum and importance to the event.

بتوجيه من معالي رئيس الديوان الدكتور رامي جوزيف آغاجان أقام ديوان أوقاف الديانات المسيحية والايزيدية والصابئة المندائية، في بيت الحكمة، ندوة علمية بعنوان "
وفي كلمته الافتتاحية، أكد رئيس الديوان على "الدور المحوري للديوان في نشر ثقافة التنوع وتعزيز التعددية اللغوية في العراق"، مشدداً "اعتماد هذه اللغات وجعلها متاحة لجميع المكونات العراقية، بما يعزز نسيجها الاجتماعي ويحفظ إرثها الحضاري. وتفعيلاً للدور المناط بالديوان في تعزيز قيم التنوع والتعددية.
شهدت الندوة حضوراً لافتاً ضم رئيس طائفة الصابئة المندائيين الريش أمه ستار جبار الحلو، ورئيس مجلس أمناء بيت الحكمة الدكتور قحطان الحفاجي، إلى جانب عدد من المسؤولين الحكوميين وأعضاء البرلمان العراقي والمدراء العامين، ورجال الدين من مختلف الطوائف العراقية، ومنتسبي الديوان، مما أعطى الفعالية زخماً كبيراً وأهمية بالغة
