رئيس الإتحاد الدولي لإعلام الأقليات يزور مقر مطرانية كنيسة المشرق الآشورية بعيد القيامة.

استقبل نيافة المطران مار إيليا، أسقف بغداد لكنيسة المشرق الآشورية، عصر يوم الأحد الموافق 27 نيسان 2025، السيد محمود المنديل رئيس الاتحاد الدولي الإعلام الاقليات وحقوق الانسان والوفد المرافق له ، في مقر الكنيسة بالعاصمة بغداد.
وجاءت الزيارة لتقديم أسمى آيات التهاني والتبريكات بمناسبة عيد القيامة المجيد.
وخلال اللقاء عبّر السيد المنديل عن خالص تهاني الاتحاد لكنيسة المشرق الآشورية ولجميع المسيحيين في العراق والعالم بهذه المناسبة المباركة، مؤكداً على أهمية الدور التاريخي والمجتمعي الذي تضطلع به الكنيسة في تعزيز قيم السلام والمحبة والتآخي بين جميع مكونات الشعب العراقي مساهمة الاعلاميين والناشطين في تغطية قضايا التي تخص الاقليات واليات تنفيذ السياسة الاعلامية التي اقرها مجلس الوزراء والذي يعتبر الاتحاد شريك في تنفيذها.
من جانبه، رحب نيافة المطران مار إيليا بالوفد الزائر، معرباً عن شكره وتقديره لهذه اللفتة الكريمة التي تعكس عمق الروابط الأخوية التي تجمع مختلف أطياف المجتمع العراقي. وأشاد بدور الاتحاد الدولي لإعلام الأقليات في تسليط الضوء على قضايا الأقليات وتعزيز التفاهم المشترك.
وجرى خلال اللقاء تبادل الأحاديث حول أهمية تعزيز الوحدة الوطنية والحفاظ على النسيج الاجتماعي المتنوع في العراق، والتأكيد على ضرورة تضافر الجهود لمواجهة التحديات المشتركة وبناء مستقبل مزدهر وآمن للجميع.
وفي ختام الزيارة، أكد الجانبان على أهمية استمرار التواصل والتعاون لما فيه خير وتقدم العراق وشعبه.
President of the International Union for Minority Media Visits the Assyrian Church of the East Diocese to Extend Easter Greetings

On Sunday afternoon, April 27, 2025, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Mandeel, President of the International Union for Minority Media and Human Rights, accompanied by a delegation from the Union, visited the headquarters of the Assyrian Church of the East Diocese in Baghdad, where they were warmly received by His Grace Bishop Mar Elia, Bishop of Baghdad.
The visit came to offer heartfelt congratulations and blessings on the occasion of the glorious Easter holiday, reflecting the spirit of love and brotherhood that unites all components of the Iraqi people.
During the meeting, Mr. Al-Mandeel conveyed the Union’s sincere greetings to the Church leadership and to all Christians in Iraq and around the world. He praised the significant historical and societal role played by the Church in promoting the values of peace, love, and coexistence. He also emphasized the vital role of media professionals and activists in covering minority issues and supporting the implementation of the media policy recently adopted by the Iraqi Council of Ministers, in which the Union is a key partner.
For his part, His Grace Bishop Mar Elia welcomed the visiting delegation, expressing his gratitude and appreciation for this kind gesture that highlights the deep fraternal ties among Iraq’s diverse communities. His Grace commended the efforts of the International Union for Minority Media in shedding light on minority issues and promoting mutual understanding.
The meeting included discussions on the importance of strengthening national unity, preserving Iraq’s rich social fabric, and joining efforts to overcome common challenges and build a prosperous and secure future for all Iraqis.
At the conclusion of the visit, both sides affirmed the importance of continued communication and collaboration for the betterment and advancement of Iraq and its people.
